This Sunday's Old Testament lesson is about Noah and his ark. Larry suggested that I do the Bill Cosby monologue about Noah! Do you
remember that? I don't plan on doing that but I will be telling the
story of Noah to the children right at the beginning of the sermon time so we'll have the children gather around for that.
Don't forget to bring your items for the Rummage Sale this Sunday (or by at least Thursday). Also the youth will be having a bake sale to help with costs for summer programs like EYE (Episcopal Youth Event) and Camp Comeca. Anyone going into 4th grade and older can go to camp! More information on that soon. If you can donate any baked goods, that would be gratefully appreciated.
Blessings, Mother Ruth

From Tracy Wells, CHS intern (2006-07)
Hi CHS folks! I have some great news to share: I have just completed the young adult discernment process in the Diocese of Atlanta and have been recommended for postulancy and ordination to the priesthood. I will meet with the Commission on Ministry and the bishop in the fall. Continued prayers are appreciated, and many thanks to CHS for nurturing my fledgling call to ministry throughout my time as your intern last year. I am forever indebted to this parish for setting me on the path toward priesthood. You can reach me at tjwells@gmail.com or 404.229.0997 if you want to get in touch. Blessings to you all!

RUMMAGE SALE - SATURDAY, JUNE 7TH
The 2nd Annual Rummage Sale has been moved to June 7th, so please keep saving those used household, kitchen and other miscellaneous items. We will also accept clean and gently used children’s and adult clothing and are looking for something to hang clothes brought in on a hanger. If you have a suggestion, please let Charlotte Austin or Karen Sterzer know! We are always pleased to accept the help of our parishioners, so please consider volunteering for a few hours and enjoy some fun fellowship!! More information will be coming out regarding the date to start bringing items to the church. All proceeds to go to remodeling the kitchen, last year we brought in over $1,000.00!
Our prayers of thanksgiving are offered with those who are celebrating birthdays this week, especially: Jack Lee, Ralph (Bud) Oltman (May 9).
Our prayers of thanksgiving are also offered with those who are celebrating wedding anniversaries this week, especially: Ron & Sue McKinney (May 9).
