Summer Youth Car Wash Fun!

Youth grades 5 through 12 are encouraged to come to the church dressed ready for wet work - we’ll start collecting keys and washing cars for the 8 o’clockers, so we’ll welcome Youth and any adults willing to help manage keys, kids and cars beginning at 7:45 am that day. COMMUNICATIONS

Lay Eucharistic Visitors and those interested in making pastoral calls: Please let Mother ruth know if you might be interested in visiting people who are home bound or in the hospital. We will have a training in July for those who might want to explore what this ministry is all about. Mother Ruth has a Master’s degree in Pastoral Ministry so this might be the right time for any parishioners to learn more about this ministry and discern if you are being called to do this important job within the church.

Contribution Statements through April 30, are available for
pickup in the undercroft. Please save us the 42 cent stamp and pick them up this Sunday.

Volunteer “lunch makers” please take note! We were supposed to
meet and make lunches for the habitat workers on June 28 (10am-Noon). This has been canceled! We will reschedule in the fall.

10:30 Coffee Hour teams please note the team and date changes. A schedule is posted on the refrigerator in the kitchen and Lynda has copies for anyone that needs one! Call Lynda @ 291-3296 if you have questions.

Kitchen Remodel Starts in July!
Be sure to check the display in the undercroft showing the design. Funds are available to start the first week in July, additional donations are coming in, and fund raisers are planned for the summer months. Please consider a donation and “join the construction crew” to complete the project.

Attention Leaders
If you like to demonstrate leadership and make a difference, then a position on the CHS Vestry IS FOR YOU! We have two of our most established ministries that are in need of Vestry representation and leadership: Building (currently open) and Pastoral Care (an early transition to free Karen Sterzer up to become our 2009 Treasurer). As the Vestry representative for one of these ministries, you will oversee and become a liaison for a team of already established ministry volunteers. The Building team plan for and take care of CHS building needs and the Pastoral team contribute their support for funerals, for hospitalized and home bound parishioners and provide other forms of pastoral care. The Vestry meets one evening per month for two hours and is a wonderful group of leaders to work with. Please see Chris Darrell, Dean Olander, Karen Sterzer or any other Vestry person for more information.
Our prayers of thanksgiving are offered with those who are celebrating birthdays this week, especially: Dean Cowles, Drew Hazelip (Jun 23), Bobby Richter (24), Eileen Sheldrick (25).

Our prayers of thanksgiving are also offered with those who are celebrating wedding anniversaries this week, especially: Hank & Charlotte Austin (Jun 23), Bill & Wendy Lee, Joe & Lisa Wallace (24).

The Presence Candle for the month of June was given to the glory of God and in memory of David K. Rice by the Vassar family.
The Chapel Altar Flowers for this week were given to the glory of God and in thanksgiving for their 46th wedding anniversary, and their grandson’s (Andrew) first birthday by Hank & Charlotte Austin.
